Job Title: Registered Care Manager
Location: Handsworth Birmingham
Salary: £34k per annum
Claire at Amber Mace is recruiting for a compassionate and dynamic Registered Care Manager to lead a small residential home, providing specialized care to individuals with communication difficulties and learning disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Deputy Manager looking to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact on the lives of our residents or for an experienced manager looking for their next challenge.
Requirements:
• Oversee the daily operations of the residential home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care.
• Lead, motivate, and support a team of care staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and standards in line with regulatory requirements
• Create, review, and update individualized care plans tailored to the needs of residents with communication difficulties and learning disabilities.
• Ensure that all care plans are focused on achieving positive outcomes and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, making necessary adjustments to improve service delivery.
• Promote an environment that supports residents' independence, dignity, and respect.
Training and Development:
• Identify training needs and opportunities for staff development.
• Organize and facilitate training sessions, ensuring staff have the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Support staff in achieving professional qualifications and career progression.
• Manage the home’s budget and resources effectively.
• Oversee procurement and ensure cost-effective use of supplies and equipment.
• Monitor financial performance and report to the owner/director.
Qualifications and Experience:
Strong understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage budgets and financial resources.
Experience in developing and implementing person-centered care plans.
Knowledge of current best practices in care for individuals with learning disabilities and communication difficulties.
