We have an exceptional opportunity for a child focused and passionate Registered Manager in Solihull.
Whether you are currently a Deputy Manager or Team Leader in a Children’s Home, or an experienced Registered Manager looking for a new challenge, if you have an appetite to help create, design, and manage an amazing new residential service in Solihull we would love to hear from you.
Having successfully secured significant funding from the DfE, Solihull Council are in the process of creating three small Residential Homes for Solihull Children to live within their locality. These “Gold standard’ homes, each no larger than 3 bed, will provide outstanding care to the children who live there.
Within this unique opportunity, you will work closely with the Residential Operations Manager to shape our newly refurbished children’s homes and build a service that truly centres around the children and young people.
We want to impart a strong culture of child focused practise, transparency, cooperation, and a real commitment to the young people we will care for. You will play a crucial role in building a team who are committed to our young people, ensuring they experience a safe environment, high quality care and the ‘magic of childhood’. In return, you will be supported by a leadership team who share these commitments and recognise the tools, high quality supervision and support you will need to bring this vision to life.
You will have:
- OFSTED Registration as a Residential Care Manager, OR significant experience working in a residential children’s care home to secure OFSTED Registration as a Residential Care Manager within 6 months of appointment
- A sound knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, including The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015
- An ability to work collaboratively and in partnership with a range of agencies

This role includes two atypical payments for working hours linked to on-call duties.
