Being a Nurse at Marie Curie is incredibly rewarding on so many levels. For starters, we offer you high staffing ratios, which means less time on paperwork and more time with patients. As a Marie Curie Nurse, you will provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for the patient group in a palliative care setting helping people to live their final days with dignity.
You'll be part of a supportive team that truly cares about you and your development. Using a patient-centred approach and evidenced based practice, assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and co-ordinate care from admission to discharge. You will be expected to administer medication and treatment as prescribed in accordance with the NMC's and the Charity's policies and guidelines. You will also provide emotional, psychological and spiritual support for patients and carers.
Marie Curie is committed to its values, which underpin our work. We take stringent steps to ensure that the people who join our organisation through employment or volunteering, are suitable for their roles and are committed to safeguarding all our people from harm.
