Medivet Southwark is a well-established practice in the heart of London, it’s a great place to continue your career with plenty of support to develop your nursing experience!
We have a 3-vet team led by Giuseppe, our Branch Partner and certificate holder in Small Animal Medicine. Our fantastic support team includes our experienced Head RVN, SVN/PCA and dedicated Client Care Assistant.
Our practice has everything we need to provide great care including two consult rooms, theatre, digital x-ray, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser.
We keep majority of procedures in-house, so we have a great caseload with access to our nearby hospital in Camberwell for more complex cases.
We’re in a fantastic location with London Bridge and Borough Market right on your doorstep! Close to London Underground Northern and Jubilee Lines
Benefits include:
- £2000 London weighting allowance
- 4-day week with 1:6 weekends
- £750 CPD allowance with 2-days CPD leave and in-house CPD available
- Plus, fantastic internal CPD available!
- RCVS, BVNA and VDS fees paid
- 5 weeks paid annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata)
Role accountabilities
- Prioritising patient welfare and care
- Nursing and discharge of patients
- Administering treatments, performing diagnostic tests and assisting with surgeries
- Nurse consultations – internal training provided!
- Running in-house lab samples and organising repeat prescription
- Ensuring compliance and that policies and procedures are adhered to
- Supporting the development of SVN/PCAs in your practice
Your skills and experience
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
- Team player
- Approachable with clear communication skills
- Customer focused, continuing to build strong relationships with our clients
