Registered Veterinary Nurse

Medivet Beckenham 24-Hour is a busy, well-established six-vet hospital complete with dedicated night team who manage all out of our care for the region. 

We are a friendly and supportive team who work together to review and improve protocols. Our practice has a lovely client base who appreciate the personal and exceptional standard of care we provide.

The practice is well-equipped with ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray. We have surgical facilities including laparoscopy and orthopaedic equipment, gastroscope and bronchoscope plus a wide array of more emergency equipment. We have two ops theatres, three consults, separate dental room and cat/dog wards.

In addition we have Virtual Veterinary Service (VVS) support for cardiology and abdominal ultrasounds we also have a camera feed, so the specialist can chat though the scan and provide advice.

Beckenham has quick direct links into London – Thameslink, Southeastern and Southern Train Lines. We also have staff parking available. We’re 5 minutes from the High Street with plenty of lovely shops and places to eat.

Role Accountabilities:

In this role you will:

• Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
• Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
• Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
• Deliver patient monitoring and care.
• Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
• Dispense and check medication.
• Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
• Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience:

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
• Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
• Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
