Royal London Ireland is seeking applications for a Regulation Adviser to join our People team on a permanent basis.
This is a new role to support Royal London Ireland in managing the upcoming regulatory changes. The Regulation Adviser will work with the CF1 role holder to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements of the Central Bank of Ireland and engage key People team stakeholders as required.
This is a key role within the Royal London Group People Regulation and Policy team. As part of this, you will be developing, maintaining and managing the strategy for people related regulations and policies across all parts of the Royal London Group in the UK and Ireland.
About the role
- Support the Head of People Regulation and Policy on all people related regulation and policy matters.
- Manage the day-to-day Senior Executive Accountability Regime (SEAR), Minimum Competency Code (MCC) and Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) activity including Management Responsibilities Maps and Statements of Responsibility, and production of relevant MI and reporting.
- Support relevant people related operational processes, e.g., oversight of Fit & Proper Assessments, Certification etc.
- Maintain, optimise and stay abreast of all regulations which impact people.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders including external bodies to ensure the business is operating in a fully compliant manner.
- Provide advice and assistance on people regulation matters to the Group People Team and Ireland business.
- Implement appropriate developments and amendments across policies, procedures, and systems.
About you
- Strong knowledge and understanding of insurance/ asset management / Financial Services sector regulations in Ireland.
- Strong knowledge and interpretation of the relevant Central Bank of Ireland regulations to advise Royal London colleagues.
- Experience of embedding new policies and regulations.
- Ability to handle internal reporting and audits and translate findings.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to research and acquire detailed knowledge of all relevant regulations.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
