We’re looking for a Regulatory & Conduct Advisory Manager
Reporting to the Senior Manager, we are looking for an experienced conduct and regulatory risk specialist to support in delivering good outcomes for all our customers. This role provides compliance advice (predominantly conduct regulatory advice) to critical stakeholders across both our lending and savings value streams. This role is key in embedding good customer outcomes and comes with a good level of autonomy.
This role has no direct reports.

What you’ll be doing
- Provide general compliance advice to the lending or savings businesses.
- Guide the businesses in embedding good customer outcomes.

We need you to have:
- Excellent awareness of, and ability to apply, regulation (e.g., CONC, BCOBS, SYSC, DISP).
- A thorough understanding of Consumer Duty and how it applies practically to retail banks, including how this impacts product governance, consumer support, communication and outcomes monitoring.
- A solid understanding of lending and/or deposit products (loans, credit cards and savings accounts) and how regulation impacts how they operate.
- Strong ability to influence regulatory change initiatives and work on initiative and suggest improvements.
- Courage to directly challenge senior stakeholders and do what is right for the customer.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to present complex messages clearly and at a level appropriate for the audience.
- A good working knowledge of data protection regulation and an ability to apply it and advise stakeholders on the best course of action.
- Ability to coach more junior team members, particularly on regulatory knowledge and how to interpret complex regulation.
