About the role
We have two Rehabilitation Assistant positions available (full time and part time) in a multi-disciplinary team within our Rehabilitation Services. Our centre at Great Western Court in Gloucester is designed to support individuals with all aspects of their rehabilitation and care programs following either a discharge from hospital or admittance from the community. We provide 24-hour care for planned, unplanned and emergency stays. In this highly rewarding role, you’ll create a positive, caring and stimulating environment that meets every resident’s needs.
The goal is to make sure residents enjoy fulfilling and dignified lives – and you will play a big part in that. You will contribute to promoting the independence and reablement of the people we care for in day-to-day activities, each of which will have an outcome focused care plan to meet identified needs.
You’ll join us on a shift basis, which will include weekend working as required. We are happy to discuss your requirements around weekend working at interview. You will be eligible to claim for enhanced payments for working evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You should also be flexible to help out at other locations if required.
This is an interesting and varied role within an established and supportive team, making a difference to people in Gloucestershire.
About you
You will have experience of working in a care setting and helping individuals with personal care, monitoring of progress of the people we care for within the setting and contributing to the ongoing assessment of their needs with the multi-disciplinary team.
You will also have experience of recording and updating of care plans. Practical and positive, with every opportunity to learn, you’ll also be keen to develop and take our service from strength to strength.
