From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking team of Relationship Managers and Product Specialists provides a range of end-to- end solutions designed to help small businesses reach their potential.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Relationship Manager.

In this role, you will:

•    Conduct face to face meetings with SME clients, with an average of 50-65 clients in portfolio.
•    Manage portfolio values of approximately £1.5m and SME clients with a £2-15m turnover.
•    Drive revenue growth through understanding customer needs and by adopting a needs-based approach which engages clients and increases new business.
•    Grow the business sustainably, by identifying opportunities to expand a portfolio and broadening client relationships by leveraging HSBC's extensive network.
•    Build a strong understanding of the client's business and industry to promote insights, enrich client conversations and deliver fair outcomes.
•    Have a comprehensive understanding of the client through pro-active credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•    Experience of working in relevant environments, i.e. Business/Corporate Banking, Financial Services would be advantageous.
•    Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs.
•    Evidence of commercial lending.
•    Experience of leading and delivering excellent customer service and proactively looking for innovative ways to improve this service.
•    Experience of building effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same.  
•    Comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes.

This is a hybrid role based at Castle Donington with a requirement to travel throughout the East Midlands region. A full UK driving licence is essential.
