This is a rewarding and challenging position, which requires a committed approach, with the responsibility of representing the service in the absence of the Manager.
You will effectively maintain and promote the highest standard of care practice embracing the ethos of maximising independence, participation, and dignity and act as key worker for service users, co-ordinating all relevant services to each individual or groups and acting as a contact point for relatives, associated carers, and relevant agencies.
To promote and demonstrate best practice and ensure compliance with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and other regulatory bodies. You are responsible for your own health and safety and of other people at work to ensure all activity within the home and its environs is undertaken in a safe manner and in accordance with infection control principles and the Health and Safety requirements of the Westmorland and Furness Council.
We are looking for someone who is responsible, can deal with emergency situations in a competent and professional manner and who can work on their own initiative and be part of a professional team.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with Adults Barred List check.
Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with adults. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with adults.
