- A Commercial Manager for our client oversees the commercial functions of varying levels, across all Electrical and Renewable projects and installations.
- They must work closely with the Operational and Technical leads to ensure projects are priced and delivered in an exceptional manor.
Daily Responsibility
- To manage commercial activities across the business
- Work closely with the Electrical Manager and Technical Lead to oversee and deliver projects
- To cover the management of client projects / frameworks to provide successful commercial delivery and achievement of budgets.
- Manage numerous stakeholder relationships, including external relationships with their clients, suppliers and wider commercial and operational teams.
- To work closely with the supply chain to understand net costs for all trades to assist with bids and live projects and ensure all material procurement is in line with Group material rates.
- To manage cash flow successfully within the business and ensure all client valuations are processed in a timely manner and all payments to the supply chain are processed to the agreed upon dates.
- Financial management of projects from start to completion, ensuring any risks are mitigated in a timely manner.
- Work with our client to ensure consistency of reportage and adherence to their Ways
- Production of monthly CVR reports for review with our clients board.
- Knowledge of contract law and able to liaise with their legal team to ensure all risks are mitigated / reduced.
- Strong focus on change management to review any situation where large variations, EOT’s, projects and LAD’s are required and ensuring that all clients are aware of potential changes to their projects.
- Assist the estimating team in pricing projects from existing frameworks based upon previously agreed or new contract rates.
Essential Skills
- Experience in Renewable Energy Installations
- Experience in working with Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions to mitigate risk within all projects.
- Excellent focus on attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and work to key deadlines.
