Polytec are looking for a Repair Technician for our client based just north of Cambridge. You may be required to visit customer premises to upgrade hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosis and confirmation of Customer reported faults using manual and automated jigs and fixtures
- Disassembly and assembly of products and replacement of key components
- Inspection of repair work carried out
- Use of software tools required for the processing and repair of products
- Hardware modifications as part of internal/customer projects
- Ensure product turnaround times are met
- Training of Internal/External staff
- Demonstrable experience in a Repair/Service environment
- Soldering of PCB's and mechanical assembly / disassembly of products
- Ability to use relevant servicing tools / jigs and fixtures
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Use of hot air gun to remove and replace components on PCB
- Ability to accurately follow work instructions.
- Highly accurate and keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with MS Office (Excel/Word)
