Job description

If you answered yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are on the lookout for a dedicated Repairs Manager to join our thriving team in Liverpool, Sefton, or Wirral.

As a Repairs Manager, you will oversee the repairs and maintenance (R&M) service, planned works program, and contractor performance. You will supervise Surveyors and Trade Supervisors managing operative teams, and also oversee the Contract Surveyor and the annual planned works program. Your responsibilities extend to budget management, compliance with policies, and addressing issues like Damp Mould and Condensation. You will handle customer complaints, technical issues, and contribute to out-of-hours emergency repairs support. Additionally, you will provide supervision, appraisal, and line management for repairs and maintenance staff, manage designated budget lines, and contribute to strategy development and procurement efforts. You will collate and produce performance reports, manage the adaptation program, and undertake other duties to achieve organisational objectives.

Hours of Work: 35-hour week Monday-Friday

Repairs Manager Requirements:

* Experience at Senior Surveyor level in a housing association, not for profit or public-sector organisation
* Experience of planned and cyclical works, responsive repairs and the use of schedule of rates
* Experience of budget management and control
* Experience of contractor management
* Awareness Health & Safety in construction/CDM/ Risk Assessment.
* Experience of complaint handling
* Experience of dealing with disrepair claims would be beneficial
* Experience of managing an adaptations programme in a housing association, not for profit or public-sector organisation
* Experience of report writing specifications and schedule of rates
* Management level experience working for a housing association, not for profit or public-sector organisation.
* Experienced in the use of housing management ICT software systems and understanding ICT in service delivery
* Degree level qualification in a surveying or construction related field
* Evidence of continuing professional development

Desirable:

* Qualified to or working towards MRICS/MCIOB or similar professional membership
* Management Qualification
