Are you an experienced and driven Repairs Supervisor looking for an exciting opportunity to manage a dedicated team and contribute to a reputable social housing provider? We are currently recruiting for a Repairs Supervisor to join our client's team in Epsom on a fixed term contract until January 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Manage works on site from initial stages to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications, budget, and deadlines.
- Issue instructions, authorise additional work, and apply for time extensions when necessary.
- Recruit and train professional staff to maintain service standards.
- Publish performance targets and monitoring systems to ensure high-quality work and service delivery.
- Provide technical advice and resolve operational issues.
- Oversee the maintenance and servicing of the company vehicle fleet.
- Monitor the purchase of materials and ensure accurate stock control.
- Collaborate with external contractors to ensure quality of service and adherence to timelines.
- Comply with health and safety legislation and maintain records accordingly.
- Foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote and uphold company policies and codes of conduct.
- Conduct post-inspections to ensure high standards of work and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Significant experience as a Repairs Supervisor or in a similar managerial role.
- Experience managing professional staff and achieving performance targets.
- Knowledge of industry schedule of rates and capital programme delivery.
- Familiarity with reactive repairs service and subcontractor management.
- Proficiency in using IT systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Strong organisational skills to plan, prioritise, and manage outcomes.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and their application.
- Full UK driving licence.
