Summary
We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team in a key role at the Regulator of Social Housing.
This role involves working as part of a small team to help us develop and deliver a programme of analysis on sector trends and risks to help inform our expanding role.
Job Description
Your role will include undertaking a range of in-depth quantitative and qualitative research and analysis on emerging sector trends, with a key emphasis on Value for Money, to help inform the regulator’s expanding role. You will also support communication of outputs in written form and as presentations, such as writing reports, contributing to regulatory publications and writing guidance material.
You will also support in the development and maintenance of our analytical regulatory tools, and will support in delivering a range of projects.
Responsibilities
As our successful candidate, you will have experience of carrying out high quality research and analysis, including analysing data, interpreting evidence and communicating your findings. You should have good knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques, particularly with MS Excel.
You will have strong and clear report writing and communication skills, covering both quantitative and qualitative information and will be able to work to tight timescales and deadlines. Any knowledge of social housing regulation, regulatory policy or national housing policy would be advantageous.

Location
We operate a hybrid model of working with a mix of office and home working.
This role can be based out of any of RSH’s core offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements and staff can benefit from working from home for part of their hours. Most roles involve some travel within England between our offices, with some roles also involving onsite visits to social housing providers.

The salary for this role is a spot salary within the given range, which will normally be the minimum of the range. There is no incremental progression through a pay scale. Annual salary reviews are determined by the government pay award. In addition, when the probation period is successfully completed, a performance related bonus may be awarded, based on appraisal ratings at the end of the qualifying appraisal year.
