Our client, a US law firm, are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful Research Analyst to join their global team. In this role, you will play a critical role in providing in-depth and actionable insights. Leveraging both online and print resources, you will tackle a wide range of legal and business research requests, uncovering key information and trends that contribute to strategic decision-making across the firm. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-level, customizable research and analytics in legal, business and other subjects.
- Provide practice, subject, and industry research in areas aligned with the firm’s practice and business.
- Provide tailored and curated current awareness bulletins and monitor effectiveness of the distribution and value to end users.
- Provide training and research strategies and resources.
- Develop and deliver presentations to attorney practice groups, colleagues and other departments on research tools and current developments.
- Advise on collection development including new databases, websites and print material.
- Keep up to date on industry current trends and best practices.
- Work on special projects or any other duties as assigned.
Education and/ or Experience:
Required:
- Library and information qualification (or equivalent).
- Highly proficient in UK and EU research and good knowledge of US legal and business research, including transactional and legal resources.
- Relevant library and research experience within a commercial law firm.
- Preferred:
- Strong technical skills, including familiarity with MS Office, SharePoint and other related technology tools.
- Membership of a professional organization.
