AddressR&D Engineer – Edinburgh – onsite – 6 months contract - £24 per hour PAYE + holiday benefit
Our client is a leading technology company that helps enterprises, service providers and governments accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world. They develop a range of test solutions for the automotive and energy sectors. The solutions we develop ensure design goals are met in the areas of Connected Vehicles, Infotainment, Vehicle Electrification and Smart Grids and guarantee customer success.
The team is responsible for two main technologies, all related to cars communicating wirelessly with other devices, other cars, or with the network infrastructure. One technology is the E-Call (emergency call). The second technology is called CV to X – a vehicle-to-vehicle communication, where vehicles can share information on pedestrians, motorcycles etc to help them learn more about the environment around them.
Skills:
- Familiarity with cellular communications, working on wireless technologies, mobile phone devices etc.
- Windows / C# /.NET / Visual Studio development experience
- Knowledge of wireless communications systems (2G-5G, C-V2X)
- Knowledge of dev ops tools such as bitbucket/git, Jira, Jenkins
- Flexibility to work within a team as well as independently
