The School of Business, Law and Social Sciences (BLSS) at Abertay and the School of Science and Engineering, Computing at the University of Dundee have secured funding from the British Academy for working on the use of AI Large Language Models applied to Qualitative Analysis of semi-structured interviews. The candidate brief provides more details about the project and Abertay. The University now seeks to appoint a Research Assistant (Grade 6, 0.5 FTE for 22 weeks) to assist the project PIs with the research work, ideally starting around mid-April. Reporting to Professor Stefano De Paoli and Dr Daniel Rough, you will be required to support the conduction of the research with a focus on using Python to improve the existing analysis scripts and implement a simple Graphical User Interface. You will also be required to collaborate actively with the PIs. You will use you research skills in programming to contribute to the success of the project. The role requires a positive attitude toward collaboration in a team, and capacity to conduct research in autonomy.
