Position: Part Time (1-2 days per week), Permanent We are seeking an independent and self-directed Research Associate with proven research and statistical skills to contribute to the on-going development of the Moor House research programme. Moor House Research and Training Institute (MHRTI) is at the forefront of global intervention research and training in the field of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and associated conditions. MHRTI is based within Moor House School & College, an Ofsted “Outstanding”-rated non-maintained special school for day and residential students from ages 7 to 19 for children with language disorders. The close collaboration between the institute, school and college means that our research programme is embedded in an educational and therapeutic context. It extends through all areas of the school and college, but particularly in speech and language therapy. We also collaborate with external academics and practitioners in other settings including with University College London, University of Oxford and University of Reading. By disseminating our research in talks, courses and peer-reviewed publications, and by creating resources and training based on our research, the benefits of our research extend far beyond the organisation and have global reach. Close to the M25 and a mainline station with direct links to London, Moor House is located in a beautiful rural setting on the Kent and Surrey borders in the UK.
