A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Engineer, who has experience with Python and ideally C++ to join an innovative Oxford University spin-out company. As the Research Engineer, you will use science to solve complex real-world problems, producing high-quality solutions.
The company, based in central Oxford have developed a revolutionary product – a location mapping application currently used within the healthcare industry. This cutting edge application is powered by complex algorithms interrogating enormous amounts of intricate data. With a clear mission, this organisation is set to expand globally, pioneers in their industry!
You will join a team of highly skilled dedicated Engineers, who have a passion for innovation and technical curiosity. You will work heavily on developing, optimising and implementing Machine Learning algorithms utilising C++ and Python, enhancing the performance of my client’s core product.
What’s required of the Research Engineer?
The Research Engineer will need a variety of technical skills, but more important than that, they will need to be passionate about ground-breaking research and development. Some of the skills needed for the Python Developer / C++ Developer role include, the following, though please note these are not all essential!:
- Experience of Python – preference for Python 3
- Experience of C++ - ideally versions C++11 and C++17
- Excellent knowledge of Algorithms – strong preference for Machine Learning and signal processing
- Any knowledge of robotics and localisation – would be highly sought after!
