We are currently seeking a part time, specialised laboratory administrator to join our technical support team to assist with the development and maintenance of an Integrated Management System to improve the running of the research laboratories at our Hawkshead Campus. We are particularly interested in someone with skills or previous experience in using SharePoint, Web page design, databasing, and/or similar.
In this role you will initially be working to develop our new SharePoint site including associated databases, lists, apps and forms. Your knowledge and experience will be vital in making this a user-friendly interface and you will be actively encouraged to discuss developments with the technical team, academics and our health and safety department.
You will assist the Senior Research Laboratory Manager to improve the data management strategy of our research team. In addition, your role will include the training of staff in use of the system and organising appropriate trials to test it runs correctly.
We are looking for a highly organised, motivated, and imaginative individual who wants to develop their career in an environment where new ideas are encouraged. You will be comfortable working both independently, as well as part of our wider college technical team. Previous experience working in an education or research environment with knowledge of health and safety would be an advantage.
