About The Role
The aim of the ACTIVATE study is to evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of the ACT Vet smartphone app based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) among Armed Forces veterans with PTSD and experience of harmful gambling. ACTIVATE is a collaboration between Swansea University, Combat Stress, and King’s College London, and is funded by an award from the Office for Veterans’ Affairs (Health Innovation Fund).
One, full-time position is available until March 2025, with the possibility of extension. The post-holder will be responsible for recruiting dual-diagnosed veterans, collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative outcomes, and writing-up findings for publication and wider dissemination. Prior experience of working with hard-to-reach populations, such as veterans, and demonstrated experience in digital health technology methods or clinical psychology research are desirable criteria.
