Location: Gosport, PO12 3BE.
Salary: £12.60 per hour with call out/out of hours rates.
Contract: 31 Hours per week over a 4-week rota.

(This role is a live in position, a 2-bedroom flat is included, the Resident Warden is expected to pay their own council tax, electricity and telephone if applicable.)

If so, Thorngate Living, one of the UK’s leading alms house charities, are seeking a self-motivated, caring, and organised Resident Warden to join the Warden team.
Thorngate Living manages over 100 sheltered flats in housing schemes located in Gosport. Our three schemes are modern and set amidst carefully tended and peaceful gardens. All Thorngate Living flats benefit from 24-hour on-site wardens who provide round-the clock reassurance and aid to residents.
As our newest Resident Warden, you will be responsible for:
• Delivering our best-in-class strategy within our community compromising of 47 flats as well as providing cover for our two sheltered housing schemes.
• Directly reporting to the housing support manager.
• Noting and reporting on building/ equipment condition.
• Showing around prospective residents.
• Responding to on call emergencies without delay.
• Liaising with residents next of kin where relevant.
• Ensuring residents have sufficient social activities on site with the ability to facilitate these.
Our ideal Resident Warden will:
• Be patient and friendly while displaying excellent communication skills.
• Have a strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages.
• Have the capability to use our internal housing management system as well as mobile technology and general applications.
• Have a full/clean UK driver’s licence with access to their own vehicle.
• A keen willingness to learn and improve in all aspects of the role.
