The Ivy Collection is currently seeking a talented and experienced Restaurant Server to join our team in London, UK. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in food and beverage service, exceptional customer service skills, and a good level of creativity. This is a part-time position with a salary range of 8 to 10.5 in UK local currency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide superior customer service to all dining guests while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor- Guide guests through the menu, make recommendations, and answer any questions they may have about the restaurant or their meal- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all special requests or dietary restrictions are noted and communicated to the kitchen- Serve food and beverages promptly and reliably, ensuring all items are properly prepared and presented- Keep tables clean and tidy throughout meal service, resetting as necessary to prepare for new guests- Handle cash and credit card transactions with accuracy and honesty, ensuring all checks are properly recorded and reconciled at the end of the shift- Work as a team with other servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for all guests- Uphold all health and safety protocols, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel environment- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage guests and make them feel welcome- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment- Good teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other staff members- Knowledge of food and beverage service etiquette, including wine service and proper food presentation- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately- Must be legally authorized to work in the UK
