Retail Accounts Administrator

Up to 28,000 based on experience
A role has become immediately available in Inverness for a Retail Accounts Administrator. The role comprises of daily, weekly and monthly tasks and also offers career development opportunities as the company continues to grow.
While a full handover and support will be provided, applicants should have a solid knowledge and background in Accounting and Financial processing and be able to demonstrate experience in relevant prior roles to support their application.
Applicants should also have strong MS Excel knowledge and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The role:-
- Collation, review and recording and processing of daily sales, reports from all filling station sites.
- Daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation of cash, credit card and credit account receipts
- Administration and reconciliation of lottery and pay point transactions
- Approval and nominal coding of purchase invoices
- Cash book maintenance and monthly bank and petty cash reconciliations
- Monthly review, reconciliation and processing o fuel stock volumes and valuations
- Monthly review, reconciliation and processing of shop stock valuations by reporting category including scheduling and liaison with quarterly independent stock-takers.
- Gross margin review and interrogation by reporting category
- General accruals and prepayments accounting to achieve an accurate monthly cut-off
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliation of all relevant nominal accounts adhering to strict deadlines
- Monthly P&L revenue and cost trend analysis, by site, with investigation, resolution and explanations where required and reporting same to the Management Accountant and Finance Director
- Providing day to day admin support to the Retail Ops Team
- Developing working relationships with all site managers including site visits where required
- Participation and reporting into retail management meetings
- Completion of OS surveys on a periodic basis
- General support to the Management Accountant and FD on a variety of ancillary tasks as and when required
- Full driving licence
