The department has 5 permanent Retail and Admissions operations across the IWM branches. The department is responsible for generating income and profit for IWM; delivering a product range that is unique, relevant and inspiring; providing excellent customer service and visitor welcome and the department acts as an ambassador for the IWM brand and values.
HMS Belfast Retail and Admissions Manager is fully responsible for the Retail and Admissions operations at HMS Belfast. This role is responsible for achieving income and KPI targets and maximising profitability; through effective planning, commercial activity, sales drive and cost management. This role has a number of direct reports; 1 deputy manager, 2 supervisors and up to 10 assistants (full time, part time and weekend); all staff must be fully trained and developed to deliver a consistently high standard of sales awareness, adherence to procedures and customer service. This role also plays a key part in supporting the Head of Retail and Admissions and the Retail and Admissions Operations Manager in all aspects of their work
Admissions: The key roles and functions are focused on welcome and income. This includes providing an excellent visitor welcome; information about the ship; entry ticket sales and guidebook sales.
Retail: The key roles and functions for Retail are focused on product knowledge, sales drive, team working and customer service. HMS Belfast has one shop, situated in the admissions area. The operation is focussed around driving sales and profit; delivering excellent customer service; presenting product in a stylish, attractive and commercial way.
