Retrofit Property Officer - Oxfordshire

Your new company
A unique opportunity has arisen for an individual who has a passion for property and the climate to join a not-for-profit company based in Oxfordshire. Your new employer are responsible for the management and maintenance of a large and diverse range of buildings which are located across Oxfordshire and two other local counties. You will have an opportunity to deliver projects and improvements to schools, listed residential homes, historic buildings, offices and more.
Your new role
You will join a professional property team consisting of building surveyors, quantity surveyors, estate managers, development professionals and more, working collaboratively in order to deliver maintenance and improvement projects across the portfolio. As a Retrofit Property Officer, you will be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities associated with energy improvements across the estate. Your work could range from undertaking inspections of buildings ahead of EPC assessments, ensuring that surveys are arranged and paperwork is completed and filed ahead of any surveying activity taking place, and checking completed assessments to ensure quality. In addition, you will help to prepare for a larger deep retrofit project across 10 identified properties. This will provide an opportunity for you to assist with the coordination and management of projects and the preparation before works take place.
What you'll need to succeed
This would be a fantastic role for you if you are at an early career level, either in architecture, building surveying or a similar construction related discipline. Equally, you may be more experienced with a passion for sustainability, as this role will create a pathway into the retrofit sector longer-term!
What you'll get in return
In return, you will have an opportunity to work flexibly, on a hybrid basis - this will include working from home, visiting sites, and also joining your estates team in an Oxfordshire based office. You will receive a starting salary of £35,000 per year, alongside a wide range of benefits, which include up to 28 days annual leave, access to a contributory pension scheme, sickness and life cover, and a range of other wellbeing benefits.
