12-month maternity contract, Reward HR specialist, £56-64k doe, Brighton, East Sussex, hybrid working (6 days a month in the office minimum), working for large public sector organisation.
Are you a hands-on Senior Reward specialist with experience of managing all aspects of a Total Reward Strategy?
The remit of this role covers the full spectrum of reward activities, ranging from engagement with the senior leadership team and Executive Board on reward strategy and policy matters, through to managing the day-to-day operations and processes, as the subject matter expert for the function.
Reward Manager will have experience of:
Operating at a senior Reward manager level.
Demonstrable evidence of designing, implementing and embedding robust Reward policies, processes and governance frameworks.
Evidence of analysing, interpreting and presenting internal and external pay data to input into pay audits, case work and business cases, as well as presenting in plain English to non-subject matter Experts.
Experience of working within a unionised environment.
Ideally (but not essential) trained in the Hay job evaluation methodology, with experience of conducting audits and reviews of this approach.
Knowledge and understanding of how public sector pay policy operates desirable.
Lead on the further development and evolution of company's Total Reward strategy, including management of our Employee Benefits portal within affordability and public sector pay policy constraints.
Support on and work in partnership with internal collaborators and Korn Ferry and Willis Towers Watson to undertake our 3-year, high-level review of our Reward arrangements, including pay groups, pay bands, etc.
Manage and maintain all Reward policies providing expert advice and guidance to managers in the business, internal stakeholders within the People Team, as well as calling on other subject matter experts where required to support these activities.
Work collaboratively on pay audits.
Run and provide expert advice on current Reward case work.
Manage and coordinate the annual pay award cycle, including a market-related review of pay bands, application of performance related pay arrangements and annual discretionary bonus scheme.
Participate in salary surveys and undertake reward benchmarking, in support of market related increases to our pay bands, working with Korn Ferry and Willis Towers Watson.
Identify, design and implement ongoing Reward-based communications and training to support all aspects of Reward activity.g. delivery of Equal Pay Awareness sessions.
Provide governance, processes and audits of our job evaluation framework, ensuring roles are being evaluated consistently and fairly across company.
Assist colleagues in our EDI team with the production of gender/ethnicity pay gap reports on an annual basis. This may include analysing the findings and drawing conclusions / making recommendations for improvements and managing data submission of salary information/surveys/reports.The Reward HR specialist, Brighton is a 12-month contract, £56-64k, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, civil service pension, hybrid working, discretionary bonus, development opportunities, enhanced parental leave arrangements, free employee assistance programme.
