Rf Design Engineer

Due to the nature of the work being undertaken in this role you will be required to work onsite 100% of the time.

My client is a large engineering and research consultancy who are constantly developing cutting-edge products for the Military and other defence clients.

They are looking for an RF Design Engineer to help design and integrate COTS products into RF designs.

• Design, development, integration and testing as required by the project.
• Produce high-quality supporting design documentation.
• Contribute expertise across a broad range of design activities.
• Develop innovative and cutting-edge solutions.
• Apply best practice for source code control, build, test/troubleshooting (debugging/fault finding), and distribution.

• Expertise in selecting select COTS for integration into an RF design of HF/VHF system as Power Amplifiers, RF power switches, Filters, LNAs, Antennas
• Expertise in antenna matching (e.g., impedance, analysis of VSWR)
• Power Amplifier design, from 1W through 10kW
• Experience in RF simulation using AWR Microwave Office
• Radiation Hazard analysis experience.
• Test equipment knowledge (e.g., VNA, spectrum analysers, signal sources, power meter)
