AJ Chambers are working with a Leading Regional Advisory Firm, based in Central Cambridge, who are seeking a Risk and Compliance Manager.

Location: Cambridge
Salary: Up to £60,000

Your role:
As the Risk and Compliance Manager, you'll be a pivotal figure in identifying and managing risks, ensuring full compliance with ICAEW and ISQM standards. Your role involves maintaining a strong control environment and effectively minimising operational risks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all compliance inquiries within the firm.
- Coordinate and oversee all compliance training, taking ownership of the associated system.
- Manage the Corporate Criminal Offence policy, including firmwide annual risk assessments.
- Handle the completion of annual practice and ICAEW assurance inspections.
- Prepare and continuously monitor proliferation financing risk assessments.
- Establish and monitor the firmwide onboarding process.
- Monitor firmwide engagement letters, overseeing template creation and standard terms and conditions.
- Conduct internal compliance reviews, encompassing practice assurance and anti-money laundering.
- Take a leading role in ensuring the firm's compliance with Internal Standards of Quality Management (ISQM).
- Monitor and implement changes to legislative data, staying updated on relevant developments.
- Complete ICAEW forms related to the structure/membership of the firm.
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement, actively identifying ways to mitigate risks across the organisation.
Experience required:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in accountancy or financial services.
- Excellent communication skills, fostering positive relationships across all organisational levels.
- Proficient attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver results within strict timelines.
