Training and Compliance Manager
Company Description
Based in Yaxley, Peterborough and having been established for almost 20 years, our client is a small but progressive company that has earned a respected reputation for delivering quality safe systems training in confined spaces and working at heights from Awareness to Authorised Person both in the UK and overseas.
They also provide and develop safety rules for their clients to ensure legal compliance with Confined Space and Working at Height Regulations and company procedures. The also carry out auditing, assessments of Authorised Persons, data collection for the production of registers and provide Authorised Person support when required.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Training and Compliance Manager located in Peterborough with some flexibility for remote working and a requirement to deliver on client sites. As Manager you will be responsible for developing and delivering Training and work in conjunction with the training team to ensure that consistency is being maintained and Compliance is being met.
They are seeking a detail-orientated and driven individual to lead the company into the next stage of development and to take primary role in the firm s progression. As a Training and Compliance Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Existing client liaison and new client development.
- Manage and oversee the delivery and quality of training courses.
- Manage and oversee the delivery and quality of compliance auditing.
- Support the Course Administrator to ensure the balanced and effective scheduling of staff to fulfil all work requirements.
- Ensure training records and regulatory paperwork issues are managed and processed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure adherence to, development of and maintenance of processes including awarding body validations and applications.
- Oversee the maintenance and statutory inspections of the Training Centre and equipment portfolio.
Their ideal candidate should have:
- Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with existing clients and develop new clients
- Experience in delivering and developing training programmes
- Strong knowledge of statutory regulations and procedural requirements (this can be developed)
- Ability to present practical audit content at a high level (this can be developed)
- Solid computer skills & knowledge of internet applications with proficiency in Office 365
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Fluency in English
Qualifications (preferred but not essential)
- Trained in UK Health & Safety Legislation
- Management
- Trainer qualification
- Trained in Internal and /or External Assessing
- Trained in Internal and /or External Auditing
- Confined Space training experience
- Working at Height training experience
