We are looking for a passionate and dedicated professional to join us in supporting our Data and Regulatory Compliance Advisor and our Risk and Assurance Advisor.

You’ll ensure our assurance processes run smoothly and effectively, as well as be a strong communicator who can convey and understand the requirements of providing a great Data Protection and risk framework, and of course be able to prioritise work effectively.

Your Role

Your days will be varied as you work closely with your two supported areas. To give you a flavour…

Data Protection and GDPR

  • When we get requests of disclosure of information, you’ll help prepare and respond to these, making sure information is accessible and within the legal timeframe. 
  • Supporting to ensure all data right requests are dealt with in accurate and timely manner eg. Right to access, right to erasure. Ensuring our Records of Processing Activities is kept up to date by liaising with leads across the business. 
  • Support with investigation, containment and other remedial action with respect to data breaches.
  • Redacting information as appropriate for Data Access Requests. 
  • Liaising with customers in relation to any Data Protection queries or requests. 

Risk Management and Internal Audit 

  • Supporting the delivery of the Internal Audit Plan by working with leads across the business to collate responses and gather evidence to ensure actions are completed with timescales. 
  • Provide administrative  support for risk meetings with key stakeholders. 
  • Support the Risk & Assurance Advisor is ensuring that the Strategic and Operation Risk Registers are kept up to date. 
  • Proactively support carrying out checks of key controls within our risk framework. 

Both roles will include: 

  • Correspondence will be your thing and you’ll be comfortable handling lots of this, incoming and outgoing.
  •  Keeping on top of the shared email boxes and ensuring that any queries or requests are dealt with or signposted in a timely manner.   
  • Coordination of both internal and external meetings, being confident liaising with various stakeholders such as Directors, Heads of Service and Internal Auditors.

This is a great role for anyone with an interest in the world of Compliance and Assurance, as you’ll be working on a variety of tasks and gaining insight as you develop yourself and support your work areas.

We offer a salary of £24,500.00 per annum for a 35-hour week plus 25 days annual leave (rising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.
