Overview

Our client, a busy family based in Kensington, is looking for a permanent Rota Nanny to care for their two children. A girl born in January 2019 and a boy born in January 2022.

The family are looking for a happy, good-natured, outgoing and mature nanny who wants to work in partnership with the parents in caring for the children and making sure things run smoothly. The parents themselves are very organised and as such would like a nanny who is organised, used to caring for more than one child and good at planning ahead / working on their own initiative.

The little girl is in Reception and is also learning the piano. Both children are in good routines and sleep well. They enjoy being outside and going to the park. The parents are happy for the nanny to attend playdates, classes, and groups with the children.

The family also employ a Housekeeper.

Job duties:

Responsibilities of the Rota Nanny in Kensington include:

• Providing attentive and nurturing care for the children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Maintaining daily routines
• Engaging children in age-appropriate activities to promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and teaching manners and social skills
• Safely transporting the children to and from school, extracurricular activities, playdates, and outings as needed
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children
• Performing light housekeeping tasks related to the children, such as tidying their bedrooms and play areas, doing their laundry
• Maintaining open and clear communication with the parents regarding the children’s activities, development, and any concerns or issues that may arise
• Accompanying the family on domestic and international trips, providing childcare and support during travel periods
• Demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and discretion in all interactions with the family and others
• Being flexible with your schedule to accommodate the family’s needs, including working on a rota basis and adjusting for travel periods

Candidates must be/have:

• Similar experience working as a Rota Nanny for an UHNW /HNW family
• A fluent French or Spanish speaker would be a plus
• Highly organised and adaptable
• Resourceful, quick-thinking with a collaborative mindset

Accommodation

Whilst on duty a large bedroom with ensuite bathroom will be provided.

Hours

Rota schedule: 24 hours, 14 days on/off.
