Are you looking for a new volunteering opportunity? Volunteering as aFundraising Group member with Alzheimer's Research UK is a great way to meet new people and gain a new experience whilst supporting our mission to find a cure for dementia.
The Rotherham Fundraising Group (South Yorkshire) are looking for new members to join! Fundraising Group volunteers host events and activities that encourage donations. Fundraising Groups provide great opportunities for people to engage with the charity. Extending our reach much further than we could without them.
Being part of a group is also a great offer an opportunity for passionate supporters to come together and achieve more than they could as individuals.
Fundraising groups are self-organising, but some activities you might be involved with are:
- Quizzes
- Afternoon Teas
- Race nights
- Bingo
- Gold Days
- Running stands at local events
- Representing Alzheimer’s Research UK at local cheque presentations
- And much more!
The skills you need:
- Work well as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Like organising events
- Able to interact politely with members of the public, other volunteers, and staff.
- Reliable
The benefits for you:
- Your support will bring us closer to finding a cure for dementia.
- Use or develop your leadership, communication, fundraising and organisational skills.
- Develop positive relationships with people in your local area.
- You’ll have support from your local Regional Fundraising Officer.
- We can reimburse reasonable out-of-pocket expenses such as travel to venues, when agreed in advance.
- We will ask you what you think, listen to what you have to say, and value your feedback.
