We are growing and are currently looking for an Integrated Logistics Support Manager to join us at this exciting time.
We are looking to expand the SE function to cover the breadth of cross-project outputs which are currently tasked. This role will be a hybrid one working from home, the Client Site for Adhoc workshops and the Allan Webb Office in Stonehouse. Although dependent on where the project is in the procurement life cycle, typically these artefacts are:
- ILS Strategy
- ILS Planning
- Supportability Analysis Strategy
- Logistics support analysis
- Use Study generation
- ILS Requirements that are part of the User and System Requirements documentation.
- Support Solution Development Tool
- ILS Business case and ILS program management
The Integrated Logistic Support Manager (ILSM) will be responsible for producing, managing and maintaining a balanced suite of ILS documents covering one or more client projects.
The ILSM is appointed to undertake delivery of specified ILS tasks under the technical supervision of the Authority ILS lead and the management of the Senior ILSM lead. This ensures that ILS aspects of project delivery are completed to safeguard through life capability and achieve value for money for defence procurement.
To be considered for this role you will need:
Essential experience/knowledge/capability:
- 5 years of Integrated Logistical Support related work experience.
- Experience or an understanding of Support Engineering in a Military environment.
- Experience of working with support standards such as Def Stan 00-600.
- Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders
The ILSM responsibilities are to:
- Provide ILS focus for one of more projects
- Provide ILS input into reliability, maintainability and testability activities
- Interface with stakeholders on ILS matters, on behalf of a Project Team
- Identify, monitor and manage ILS risks
- Represent ILS matters at meetings
- Provide the necessary ILS support to industry suppliers and other ILS Managers
- Assure ILS products from industry suppliers
Beyond their principal responsibilities to the Delivery Team, the ILSM has a responsibility to ensure that the project pursues a support strategy which is compatible with the current service policy.
