Job Title: Safety & Quality Compliance Officer

Position Reports To: Safety & Quality Compliance Manager

Location: Leeds, UK


The Safety & Quality Compliance Officer is responsible for maintaining safety, quality, and compliance standards across a geographical area for Circet's installations division. Your role as Safety & Quality Compliance officer is a pivotal role for the successful running of the Circet contract. The governance you provide will ensure Circet is operating and has the highest standards across all key metrics.


Key Accountabilities:

Manage Daily Work

  • Be an advocate of company values and ambassador for Health & Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ).
  • Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure compliance and goal achievement.
  • Performing the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
  • Conduct corrective action reviews, audits, inspections and risk assessments
  • Conduct training needs analysis
  • Carry out accident, incident investigations and root cause analysis studies
  • Provide HSEQ advice and direction to relevant personnel on site as required.
  • Report on accidents, incidents and near misses ➢ Adhere to HSEQ, and customer service expectations.
  • Ensure all PPE, GDU and any equipment requiring calibrations is maintained up to date
  • Identify and resolve operational issues with improvements in the works process
  • Develop auditing plan based on thorough research with the Safety & Quality Compliance Manager
  • Analyze operational practice, periodic reports, databases, records and other forms of documentation to ensure compliance is established within the company.
  • Act as support for external auditing through client liaison
  • Brief management on auditing findings and reports.
  • Collaborate with management to improve internal control mechanisms as needed.
  • Accept ownership of new auditing initiatives and enhance the compliance department’s reputation and effectiveness.

Health & Safety

Reporting to the Safety & Quality Compliance Manager, this role will be responsible for leading, directing and delivering all activity in relation to Health & Safety. As Safety & Quality Compliance Officer you will lead and drive compliance with regards to standards, policies and procedures set out by the Group. You will manage the implementation of Health & Safety standards, relevant programs and initiatives and will take the lead on, develop and promote a best-in-class safety culture in conjunction with your quality management team.


Environmental Roles & Responsibility

You are required to keep up to date with environmental regulations and standards that apply to our organisation. You will ensure that we comply with all relevant environmental laws and permits at the local, regional, national, and international levels. Assisting with regular environmental compliance audits and assessments will be conducted to identify areas for improvement. You will work closely with the SQCM to effectively implement environmental policies across all departments and integrate environmental considerations into our overall management systems and strategic planning.


Quality

The role of a Safety & Quality Compliance Officer is to implement and monitor policies and procedures that ensure the quality of products and services. As a Safety & Quality Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for verifying that all departments comply with standards and regulations, preparing reports and communicating new rules and regulations with field based technicians.
