Hays are working with a large, well established Manufactuing business within Telford who are looking to appoint a Sales Administration Manager on a permnanet basis.
Your new role
You will need to be a highly organised and detail-oriented Sales Administration Manager with excellent working knowledge in export customs process and SAP software. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the Sales Administration process, ensuring seamless operations, and compliance with export customs requirements. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of relevant SAP functionalities.
Duties will include:
- Sales Administration duties
- Supervise and lead the Sales Administration team of 3-5 people in day-to-day operations.
- Streamline and optimise sales processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor order processing, invoicing, and shipment tracking to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Customs Compliance
- Stay up-to-date on international export customs regulations and ensure the company\'s adherence to these requirements.
- Collaborate with logistics and regulatory teams to facilitate smooth customs clearance for export shipments.
- Manage and resolve any customs-related issues or discrepancies that may arise during the process.
- Utilize SAP software to manage and track sales orders, inventory, and shipments.
- Provide training and support to the Sales Administration team on relevant SAP functionalities.
- Collaborate with IT and SAP administrators to optimise and customise SAP processes as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate sales and customs documentation.
- Generate regular reports on sales order status, and customs compliance.
- Analyse data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the UK field sales teams, UK and EU based production control, planning, logistics and accounts departments to ensure effective communication with clients regarding order status and shipments.
- Address customer enquiries and concerns related to sales, deliveries and customs processes.
What you\'ll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need experience in the following:
- A recognised qualification in Business Administration would be advantageous.
- Proven experience in Sales Administration management with 3 to 5 years in a similar post.
- Excellent working knowledge of export customs regulations, procedures and software.
- Proficiency in SAP software, with hands-on experience in utilising SAP modules related to sales and logistics.
- A good understanding of basic accounting processes.
- Strong people management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and delegate effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex customs and sales-related issues.
