A fast-growing engineering company based in Derby are looking for a Sales Administratorto assist the management and the Sales Supervisor in maintaining the effectiveness of the Sales function and building the professionalism of this important area in order to meet the increasing customer demands and maintain close communications with Production.
Duties Include:
- Receive all incoming telephone calls in a friendly and helpful manner
- Ensure that the Sales Office is manned during normal office hours
- Daily completion of own sales call log and time sheets of work carried out that day
- Informing the Sales Supervisor of any new/Private customers up to date to allow him to process these
- File all quotes for enquiries, and learn the process of quoting in order that this can be effectively integrated into the role
- Ordering customers materials where directed by the Sales Supervisor, chase acknowledgements if not received within 24 hours and keeping all documents in an orderly fashion
- Regular quote chasing for all quotes
- File completed Sales Order files having checked with the Sales Supervisor that all relevant documentation is clear and contains all necessary information for the Production Co-ordinator to produce an accurate Job Card
- Enter all data into Sage to ensure correct reporting procedures are maintained
- Inform the Sales Supervisor of any problems with materials or goods ordered immediately they occur
The Sales Administrator will be an organised individual with an attention to detail who can juggle various tasks and requests at once, have good customer service experience and have excellent Excel skills. Experience using Sage Accounts Software is an advantage but not compulsory.
Hours will be Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm and Friday 8:00am - 2:30pm. In return you will be offered a salary of GBP23,000 per annum, 20 days holiday plus stats.
