Barton Storage is a well-established business within the storage and materials handling sector and is experiencing year-on-year growth, as a result, we are looking for an experienced and organised Sales Administrator to join our dynamic team. We are offering a competitive package of £23-26K with a substantial bonus reward programme. The minimum requirements for this position will be at least 5 years of experience in a similar Sales Administrator/customer service role and you must be highly organised due to the fast-paced environment you'll be working in. You should also be skilled in general computer literacy, especially in MS365 & order processing systems (Microsoft platform preferred).

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, the Sales Administration role involves providing crucial support to the sales team by managing administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of sales processes and the overall efficiency of the Sales Office.
Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, processing orders, and assisting in the coordination of sales activities. Sales Administrators utilize ERP software to process orders, track and analyse sales data, provide customer support, record keeping and generate quotations. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with sales representatives are key attributes in this role.
The goal is to enhance overall efficiency, facilitate effective customer communication, and contribute to the success of the sales team.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Order Processing:
· Efficiently process sales orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Customer Support:
· Provide excellent customer service by responding to enquiries, resolving issues, and addressing customer concerns in a timely manner. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, transactions, and sales activities.
Communication and Coordination:
· Act as a liaison between the sales team and other internal departments to facilitate information flow.
Quotation Support:
· Prepare and issue sales quotations to customers. Collaborate with the sales & commercial team to ensure quotes align with customer needs and company policies.
Sales Team Assistance:
· Support the sales team with administrative tasks, including the following:
· Attend to incoming calls and provide professional telephone support.
· Create and prepare export documentation.
· Initiate and manage the process of raising collections & insurance claims.
· Regularly manage and respond to emails in the sales inbox.
· Maintain organized filing and archiving systems.
· Other ‘Ad-Hoc’ duties as and when required for the business.
Data Entry and Analysis:
· Enter and maintain accurate data in our ERP system. Assist in analysing sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
· Knowledge of computer operation including the MS suite and ERP software (preferably MS Dynamics 365).
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to organise daily workload.
· The ability to prioritise, multi-task and work well under pressure.
· Excellent time management to meet tight deadlines.
· Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
