Sales And Operations Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Sales and Operations Assistant to join a successful and growing business in Kettering.
This will be a 12 month contract and a 21-24k basic salary based on the right candidate.
Monday to Friday, 0900 - 1700
You are required to work every other Saturday, 0900 - 1300, this shift twill be compensated with a FULL day off the following week on a mutually agreed basis.
20 days holiday per year in addition to the above.
1 hour lunch
Role of a Sales and Operations Assistant:
· Delivering exceptional customer service to all clients
· Signing up new customers
· Selling products to customers in store
· Handling customer enquiries to include face to face, on the telephone
and via email
· Consulting with customers on self-storage needs, availability and pricing
Responsibilities of a Sales and Operations Assistant:
· Entering customer information on the database
· Dealing with debt management of customer accounts
· Handling document shredding enquiries including face to face, by phone and via email
· Working as a team to achieve store targets
· General housekeeping and maintenance of the store
· To be competent in stepping into the Managers role in their absence
Skills of a Sales and Operations Assistant:
Decent grasp of basic Maths and English (general understanding of discounts and pricing structures - nothing too complicated)
Outlook - can easily converse with customers on email with a friendly and professional approach
Telephone - can easily answer the phone and assist accordingly. Some outbound calls required following up on new and existing enquiries
Must be presentable and happy to meet and greet visitors and be able to walk them around the facility.
Customer serving/servicing experience a must - preferably in the retail sector, but not essential.
The ideal candidate will be local to Kettering and have good knowledge of the area
