Sales & Costing Estimator

FINTEC recruit is supporting recruitment for aSales & Costing Estimator with fabrication engineering experience.  This role is based in Derbyshire and is a permanent role with base salary up to circa £40,000 with OTE circa £50,000 plus contributory pension scheme/bonus structure.   You will require to have experience of working in Fabrication /Engineering, experience ad knowledge of design for fabricating steel metalwork used in a variety of applications from architectural metalwork to handrails, staircases and walkways.   This is an office based role with some visits to client premises as required for meetings.  Working hours is Monday to Friday 40 hours per week 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. finish.  Opportunity for further career development.

Responsibilities:

• Developing business relationships with existing and new clients
• Able to undertake estimates and to submit competitive bids to gain new contracts
• Initiate and implement sales processes
• Estimate project costs, involved in the contract /bid process

Skills and Experience required for the Sales & Costing Estimator role:

• Knowledge of laser cutting, press brake, welding and powder coating; have a sound understanding of fabrication processes
• Expertise and knowledge in metals and materials purchasing and able to estimate/cost projects
• Good IT skills, experience of using an ERP program is beneficial
• Knowledge of 3DCAD design an advantage, not an essential
