Sales Counter Assistant (full time 40 hours)

What you will be doing

You will be working in a fast-paced environment, helping and advising customers to ensure they receive a first-class service while ensuring you maximise all sales opportunities.

Every day is different, but your role day-to-day activities will include:

• Offering a first-class customer service both face-to-face and by phone.
• Proactively approaching customers viewing our displays to seek out sales opportunities.
• Providing advice on landscaping materials and methods to match our customers’ needs.
• Process sales orders and see through to completion.
• Prepare quotes and follow up to convert to sales.
• Proactively seek out and approach new business opportunities.
• Ensure great communication with our regular trade customers to build strong relationships.

Who we’re looking for

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role or a great knowledge and passion for all things landscaping.

This is a customer-facing role so having the ability to confidently talk to customers face-to-face and by phone is essential.

You will need to offer first-class customer service and be able to dig down to our customers’ routes to establish their wants and needs to match with the most suitable products. Other than that, we can teach you the rest.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £8.60-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
