About the Role of Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Due to growth our client is looking to recruit for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Business Development Representative (BDR) to join the London based Sales and Business Development team.

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, this newly created position is seen as a very important role as you will be initiating the sales process with new prospective clients and is an excellent opportunity if you are motivated to learn and develop your sales acumen and grow into a Business Development Manager.

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) you will be:

  • Calling, emailing, and engaging with new sales prospects to arrange sales appointments for the Business Development team
  • Following up on inbound leads / trial requests to convert into potential prospects
  • Maximising all selling opportunities for the new business team through questioning skills, ascertaining prospective needs and key issues
  • Working from a database of warm leads as well as generating your own leads from your own sales prospecting
  • Putting together a sales plan including account prioritisation and campaigns with the sales team
  • Providing a professional and high level of service to all customers

The Sales Development Rep (SDR) role would suit either a hungry and sales focused recent graduate with a min. of 12 months B 2 B Sales experience (ideally in FinTech but not essential) who is looking to develop their sales career.

Our client offers a full induction and excellent ongoing training and fantastic career development opportunities. We very much see the role progressing within 6 - 12 months into a Business Development Manager role.

About You:

  • Minimum of 12 months B 2 B Sales experience within an SDR (Sales Development) / BDR (Business Development Rep)) role, Telesales or Recruitment
  • Experience of working in FinTech would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experience of working in targeted B 2 B Sales environment
  • Hungry, strong desire to succeed, ambitious and goal orientated
  • Excellent telephone manner with strong communication skills
  • Team Player
