Sales Development Representative

Sales Development Representative Position Overview:
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at IMS Group, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's commercial growth strategy. Focusing on the passive fire protection and fire stopping industry, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying potential clients, generating leads, and contributing to the overall success of IMS Group's sales and marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
Conduct extensive market research to identify potential clients and key decision-makers within the passive fire protection and fire stopping industry. Utilise various prospecting techniques, including cold calling, email outreach, and social media, to generate a robust pipeline of leads. Collaborate with the Commercial Director and wider team to align prospecting efforts with the overall commercial strategy. Qualification:
Engage with potential clients to understand their needs, challenges, and requirements. Qualify leads based on established criteria and ensure alignment with IMS Group's target customer profile. Work closely with the sales team to hand over qualified leads and facilitate smooth transitions in the sales process. Database Management:
Maintain an organized and up-to-date CRM system, recording all interactions, lead progress, and relevant information. Regularly review and clean the database to ensure accuracy and efficiency in lead management. Collaboration:
Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and wider commercial teams to refine prospecting strategies and optimise lead generation efforts. Provide valuable insights and feedback based on prospect interactions to enhance overall sales and marketing effectiveness. Continuous Learning:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments within the passive fire protection and fire stopping sector. Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a Sales Development or similar role, with a preference (but not requirement) for the construction, passive fire protection, or related industries. Proven track record in lead generation, prospecting, and qualification. Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in using them for effective lead management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
