The role:
The Sales Director is responsible for all sales related activities, and championing customer excellence. The Sales Director is tasked with ensuring profitable business is secured in line with the overall organisational strategy, with the effective development of the sales team alongside indirect management and support from the marketing team.
- Creating, developing, and executing strategic plans to reach sales targets and expand the customer base in line with business objectives to provide a pipeline of opportunities and committed orders.
- Ensure effective sales monitoring is in place for all sales activity and ensure the business is capturing critical data in relation to conversion targets and market opportunities.
- Develop and implement standard sales operating practices and monitoring techniques in conjunction with direct reports.
- To work closely with Marketing to design and implement the organisations sales strategy. Ensure the execution of the marketing plan is achieved during the course of the year.
- Effectively influence the marketing strategy by understanding the markets and trends within the industry and vertical sectors.
- To support the Bid Team throughout the sales cycle.

You will have extensive key account management experience, able to implement a strategic account management programme, developing multiple relationships with individual clients while achieving growth.
