Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. In your role, you will
- Adhere to Bombardier Code of Ethics, Compliance, and general workplace practices.
- Manage the implementation of major projects through the product development process from concept to launch.
- Collaborate with Suppliers, Sales, and Engineering to establish pricing and downtime for major modification projects.
- Review products with multiple modifications for pricing trends
- Research new products/concepts to continuously improve our product portfolio and adhere to our roadmap.
- Work with Suppliers to improve relationships and product partnerships.
- Monitor and measure product sales performance.
- Assist in defining, implementing and continuous improvement of the product development processes.
- Ensure products are consistently created and accurately maintained in Maximo.
As our ideal candidate
- 3+ years previous experience with avionics systems or product upgrades, and/or interior/paint modifications, aircraft cabin refurbishments.
- 3+years previous experience working in a customer service-oriented environment.
- 3+ engineering and maintenance experience, with expertise on avionics systems and/or interior refurbishment/paint modifications preferably on Bombardier manufactured aircraft.
- 3+ years product development experience
- Working knowledge of avionic systems interfaces and/or interior materials, design concepts applied in business aviation aircraft.
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation, related field, or equivalent work experience
- Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize and coordinate workload within a multiple project setting.
- Skilled in researching methods for obtaining technical information and marketing analysis.
- Working knowledge of Service Bulletins and other technical documents.
- Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance and modification programs.
- Working knowledge of customer maintenance programs, procedures, and instructions.
- Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, project, Maximo, web-based applications, and operations specific software.
- Skilled in developing and explaining technical avionics systems and/or interior/paint modification and refurbishment concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable TCCA, FAA and/or EASA aviation regulation and other certification requirements.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interface, establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, management, suppliers, and customers in an international environment.
- Ability to articulate product benefits and interfacing with Customers and employees.
- Previous experience working in a customer service-oriented environment – Asset.
- Product development experience- Asset
- Basic knowledge of Interior design and specification processes – Asset.
- This position may require occasional to extensive travel.
