Our client is looking for an energised & driven Sales Manager to join the team at their renowned city centre hotel.
It is preferred that the ideal candidate has experience of the Hotel & Events sector but is not essential. You'll need to work using your own initiative & also be part of a Team
Your role will be to drive sales in the areas of Weddings, Corporate Functions, Group Accommodation, Hosted & Private Events. The role also involves marketing & sales using social media.
You will be based in our hotel, Monday to Friday, 9 to 5. There maybe be a requirement for some weekend work to oversee events but this would be paid as a premium or taken as time in lieu.
The salary is competitive, depending on skills and experience. 28 days holiday per year.

- Pro-actively drive sales in the areas of Weddings, Corporate Functions, Group Accommodation, Hosted and Private Events.
- Must be focused on growing the market share of the Hotel with both existing and new clients. In turn, contact must be maintained with both local and national clients, existing and new.
- Requires the visiting of local clients and recruiting of new business. (Mileage will be reimbursed for visits)
- The role will involve initiating marketing and sales activity through the yearly calendar of events.
- Daily checking of room allocation and setting of future room rates.
- Updating of social media, twitter, and website.
- Organising of ad hoc tasks and events as requested by the Management team.
- Dealing with all departments to ensure efficient running of events, for example Kitchen, Management, Reception.
- Ensuring payment terms, including deposits, for events and functions have been adhered to, whether the event is to be paid for in advance or invoiced, where appropriate.
- Individual must be a team player, strong communicator, and self-motivated, with a passion for selling and exceeding objectives and targets set by the Management.
