B2B Sales Executive (Fuel Cards)

Salary: up to £28k per year + monthly commission + benefits

Location: Kirkstall Road, Leeds

Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5hrs per week)

The Opportunity

Established in 1992, our prestigious client is a major fuel forecourt retailer in the US and Ireland. Now with over 200 forecourts across the countries, our client boasts the second largest number of own branded forecourts and the largest network of motorways sites across the industry.

Our clients focus has now turned to the UK forecourt market. Already they have established a network of 115 sites in the UK but look to grow this significantly over the next five years. In addition to this, our client have recently partnered with all of the leading supermarkets taking the fuel card network to over 1400 sites.

More recently, they have acquired the majority stake in the ‘Welcome Break’ motorways services group which has massively enhanced the network from a Motorway network perspective.

A dedicated fuel card division was set up in 2017 to market the fuel card sector. Due to the success and expansion of the division, our client are now looking for their next recruit. The newest addition to the team will be tasked with focusing on national fleets. This area of the market has huge potential. With the partnership of Morison’s, Tesco and Sainsbury’s as well as Welcome Break, our client now have the ideal product for this area of the market.

In addition to fuel cards, the commercial division now supplies bulk fuel either through spot deliveries or through the fuel bunkers. There are several options available to customers here opening the opportunity for the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously. Comprehensive training will be provided as well as ongoing support and coaching from piers however, a mature and independent way of working is essential.

Key Responsibilities

· Call fleet and transport businesses to promote our fuel cards

· Close sales

· Generate own sales leads from various websites and data bases

· Full 360 responsibility of account set up from closing the sale to managing the customer’s account in terms of revenue and profit

· Arrange and attend both teams and face to face prospect meetings where required

· Bring new ideas and innovations to the sales team

· Work through customer call reports to maximise volumes

· Prepare various customer reports

· Achieve weekly, monthly and annual sales targets

· Communicate with site managers and staff for customer referrals

Key Requirements

· Experience in working within Sales or Fuel cards

· Proven success in achieving sales targets

· Energetic and positive mentality

· Good knowledge of MS office

· Hard working and extremely driven

· Enjoys working towards clearly defines targets
