Job Overview:
Under the mentorship of the Commercial Director the Sales Executive will be supported and trained in the art of sales and business development with the view to grow business with new and existing clients across a broad range of industry sectors. The role will include studying a full sales charter, training in social media, phone and email sales. Within a short period and will become a key contributor in delivering the exciting growth plans.
The Sales Executive will bring their own knowledge and experience within sales and business development whilst learning the industry. Training will be provided to include exposure to the payroll industry and events. Liaison and relationship development with external clients and internal colleagues at all levels are core to the role. The candidate will be supported in the development of a varying spectrum of sales techniques across a range of mediums. They will be exposed through short secondments to other areas of the business to allow for a greater understanding of the clients they will be targeting.
DAY TO DAY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learning to;
- Develop a persuasive story for our offering and performance that connects and engages clients and leads to opportunities for business development and growth.
- Deliver against stretching and achievable budget forecasts.
- Manage and deliver the sales process and opportunities, identifying areas of success and areas of challenge, improving efficiencies and performance.
- Establish and develop engaging and consultative relationships with existing, new and prospective clients.
- Establish and maintain the positioning of Bishopsgate Group as the preferred payment partner for clients.
- Deliver compelling thought leadership, which is relevant and actionable.
- Identify and establish a pipeline of opportunities which will deliver incremental revenue increases into the business in line with the strategic growth plan.
- Work with clients collaboratively to identify and create innovative and agile solutions for clients which deliver future revenue growth.
- Work in partnership with colleagues to create a deep culture of excellence with a focus on effective and rapid problem solving within a team focussed on a dedicated vision, strategy, and goals.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ideally 1 years’ experience in a sales or customer service role.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective sales. Graduates should be able to articulate ideas clearly, actively listen to customers, and adapt their communication style to different audiences.
- Interpersonal Skills: Building relationships and rapport with clients and colleagues is crucial. Graduates should possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to connect with others, empathize, and establish trust.
- Persuasion and Negotiation: Sales trainees should be able to persuade potential customers to purchase products or services. They should also have negotiation skills to find mutually beneficial outcomes and handle objections effectively.
