Sales Ledger Assistant
We are looking for an experience Sales Ledger for a client in the Swale area.
Some of the objectives are:
- Allocate all cash received accurately on a daily basis
- Check for shortages on a daily basis and dispute as per defined procedures
- Reconcile local system against TIMS database on a daily basis
- Amend sales orders appropriately to ensure accurate invoicing on a daily basis
- Liaise with the customer depots on all shortages/EPOD discrepancies to attempt to ascertain what has caused them and look to prevent reoccurrence by a process of continuous improvement.
- Ensure customer debit notes are dealt with and money recovered as per agreed time frames.
- Ensure prices are entered and updated correctly on Prophet.
- Ensure that the customers enter our weekly price confirmations correctly on their systems.
- Detail shortages generated from each third party pack house; communicate to them and investigate possible reasons with them and look for continuously improvement.
- Liaise with the customer depots on all shortages/EPOD discrepancies to attempt to ascertain what has caused them and look to prevent reoccurrence by a process of continuous improvement.
- Process miscellaneous invoices on a weekly basis
- Check the un-invoiced orders list weekly and resolve any outstanding items
- Detail the expected receipts as per Treasury Controller requirements
- Produce & send out account statements weekly and chase any company that has debts over 30 days old, ensuring that no amounts are outstanding for longer than 60 days
- Report any aged debtors and unjustified payment refusals to our credit insurers
- Prepare accurate statistics weekly and communicate to directors and business as required
- Ensure that the finance team managers receive weekly summaries of the outstanding customer claims position
- Ensure all of the week/month end procedures are run to update system.
- Assist with office administration where necessary.
- Provide cover and support to other members of the department as required
- Ensure continued self-development by communicating effectively with line manager
